Report a clip
Clips in The Drop come from two places: our own library (licensed, Creative Commons, public domain, or written by us), and clips that hosts make and choose to share with other hosts. We host the shared ones at the host's direction; we don't select them.
If a shared clip is yours
If you own the copyright in a clip a host shared, or you appear in it and didn't agree to that, tell us and we'll take it down. Any host can also press Report beside a shared clip in Studio, which removes it for everyone at once.
Copyright notices (DMCA)
Send notices to our designated agent: The Drop, attn: Copyright Agent, 525 SE Pine St, Portland, OR 97214, or hello@thedrop.today with "Copyright notice" in the subject. Include: a description of the work, where the clip appears in The Drop (the clip title, and the host or party if you know it), your contact details, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorised, a statement under penalty of perjury that you're the owner or act for them, and your signature.
We remove reported clips promptly, tell the host who shared it, and give them the chance to send a counter-notice. Hosts who repeatedly share clips they don't have rights to lose the ability to share.
